Nurse-Leaders Summit 2011

Did you know one of the thing I fear most is... SPEAKING IN PUBLIC!
Yes, I just couldn't handle myself. I feel like I was going to faint or puke anytime when I'm in front and there's people who is looking, giggling and I don't know.. waiting for you to mess up! Hahahaa :D And now that's really  psychological. I know right but it's just even reciting in class makes my heart want to go out from my chest. That's why I really admire those people who can really talk in front of 15325134 people.
I've heard Sir Carl talk like 3 seasons already. Of course he used to be the lecturer for our Fundamentals of Nursing, that's why. But it is just now that I've heard him talked in a "seminar" like setting.. Well, it was really a seminar cos that was a Nurse-Leader Summit.
We were already there as early as 1pm so we've listened to 2 speakers before him. One was Dr. Delfin who was a representative from the Department of Health for Region 6 and the other one was BON. Betty F. Meritt from the Board of Nursing. Well, I can say people were also attentive but there are times when people became really restless. BON Meritt would even sometimes call our attention saying, "Are you still with me?" that's just how people were not until Carl E. Balita stepped foot in front. He started with a little inspirational and all of sudden people were quiet and listening attentively. They were very much participative when Sir Carl would ask them to read.. when Sir Carl would ask them a question they would respond immediately.. I must say he really moved those nurses who attended the summit. The whole talk was filled with admiration and astonishment.
No doubt why he is THE ULTIMATE.
